Question about migrating from an older version.

Featured Replies

Hey Guys! (hopefully this is the right spot, if not feel free to move)

First of all, I've been using your product now for a bit over a year, and this is the first time I've been back to the site to update it, as I've had no issues. And I see quite a bit has changed! So here's my question : I'm assuming to get v6.0 i have to rebuy the license? I have no issue supporting the development, I am just wanting to make sure that is what i need to do.

Thanks as always,

~den

If you already have a paid license then it will work on the new version. You just need your .key file on its assigned flash drive.

Thank you very much for the fast response :) Time to do some digging to find that old USB stick!

And if you have a copy of the key file in your saved email but the USB stick has been damaged or lost, the latest versions of unRaid allow you to easily transfer the license to a new stick. Just copy the license file to the new stick, and it will walk you through the process when you log into the webgui the first time.

Awesome! I do have the key! I am trying this now! I just wish i had not jumped the gun and emailed support.

I will try this and report back (server is currently rebooting)

If this works, ill just email back support and tell them to close my previous email.

Thanks a ton guys for all the help :)

Update, i copied my old Plus.key to the root of my flash drive, and rebooted the system. It is still telling me it is unregistered.

I followed the steps outlined here :

http://lime-technology.com/replace-key/

and can not see "replace key"

:(

The .key file must be in the config folder
