A disk in my array has errors. Help.

Hey everyone,

Thanks to those who respond to this. I really appreciate it.

My problem is this: I have a drive giving me errors. After capturing a syslog, I rebooted. Unraid said the drive wasn't installed so I added it back to the array. After doing so, it's telling me the device is emulated for the time being (yellow caution triangle) and the smart log says it passed.

I have posted a syslog which I obtained before rebooting. And below is the smartlog before and after I rebooted.

The drive is totally under warranty. I'm just wondering what your thoughts are on what I should do. It seems things are working fine again...just worried about the drive. And I'm wondering what might have happened.

Thanks!

Here is the smart log before I rebooted:

Since you already gave us the syslog before reboot, go to Tools - Diagnostics and post the whole zip file. For v6 the diagnostics zip, which includes the syslog, is preferred.

Okay. Here you are. Thanks in advance.

BTW, I have a question unrelated to this. This is probably not the right place to post. But...I'm using Plex to serve my family who live in various places. I'm thinking of upgrading the power of my server. I was hoping to not have to replace the motherboard, memory, processor, etc...and just replace the processor. But I'm not sure if that would give me much of a boost at all.

Thoughts?

Disk 6 was disabled due to a write error. The disk looks OK so maybe just recheck the connections.

It's data is in the array so it can be emulated, but that data is not on the disk, so it will have to be rebuilt. Pretty normal and standard data recovery for unRAID.
