September 4, 200916 yr Searched the forums and most people have the TV tuner card on their HTPCs which record to the unRaid server. What I want to do is to install a TV tuner card in the unRaid server and use it to record directly to the disks instead of over the network from another PC. Is there any software or app that can be installed in unRAID for this purpose? Thanks!
September 4, 200916 yr To get a general idea of what is needed, change your google search to "recording tv on linux".
September 4, 200916 yr You will need to unstall unRAID on a full Slackware distribution to get this to work. unRAID has none of the drivers needed for your capture card, nor any of the support utilities and libraries that you'll need in its normal distribution.
