Docker Update Screen Blank Until Update Complete

Featured Replies

While updating a docker, the Update screen remains blank until the update is complete and the Done button is displayed. Using Firefox web browser.

Same here and it can take a while depending on the docker.  When the docker is finished updating, all text that should have displayed during update appears as does the Done button.  I can switch tabs within GUI and browser while this is going on, so the GUI/browser is not hung.  Also using Firefox.  It's an annoyance, but, does not appear to affect functionality.

If I recall correctly, this only started happening for me with 6.1.3.  I believe the display was fine in 6.1.2 and prior versions.

Same here.

Tried both chrome and microsoft edge with same results.

I believe it was happening in 6.1.2 as well, but can't be sure. I am now on 6.1.3

I sent a report from within the gui a couple of weeks ago but did not receive confirmation from LT yet

This particular bug has been around for quite sometime, for me this has always been present since the switch over to the newer webui, so i would say early 6.x beta's. an easy way to trigger this particular bug is "edit" an existing running container that you know has an update pending, don't change any settings and just click "save" at the bottom, this results in a mainly blank webpage with just top nav visible. Obviously in the background its busy downloading the newer layers for the image and once its downloaded everything the window then magically appears. I have also seen this bug when pulling down a new docker image from scratch, you dont always see the contents of the progress window, most times yes, but not always, not noticed any pattern but i probably wasnt paying too much attention :-).

For me it only does it on the first container update.  on the next updates it works fine.  So if i have 3 dockers that need to be updated,  the first one will show the blank screen until finished, but the second and third ones will display everything as expected.

This is the exact same behavior I see.

Same here. This was not present in 6.1.2

6.1.2 worked fine for me also.  This is something new in 6.1.3

I am currently running 6.1.2 on two machines and have seen this behavior.

Yup, I certainly had it with 6.1.2 as well and I was hoping that the update to 6.1.3 would fix it but didn't

I just downgraded to 6.1.2 to test and i was incorrect,  it also happens in 6.1.2

Was this ever fixed? I'm still getting the same behaviour on 6.2.
