It's just another SATA connection, no real difference from the server point of view. A drive using an eSATA connection should be hot-swappable, but that's not guaranteed with all hardware and software. I have seen it work here though, in some users' syslogs. The Unassigned Devices plugin can be used to mount and manage drives connected that way. Quote Link to comment
