RussellinSacto
Hi everyone, I'm considering adding an SSD Cache drive to my system... but I'm curious about how it works with files already on my UnRaid system... For example, I have a folder full of JPG images - I open them, make some changes (like downsizing) and then save them. I am guessing that if I save them as new files (to preserve the originals), then the cache drive will come into play... but I'm guessing that if I save over the originals, then the cache drive will not be used. Is that accurate? Thanks, Russell Link to comment
BRiT
It all depends on how you configure it. Link to comment

Is that accurate? New file writes can go to the cache. Existing files are modified in place. Link to comment
