Unable to access unraid tower

Featured Replies

Good Morning

Im in need of some serious help

I built my unraid system around 2yrs ago

and I have not touched it since then it has just worked perfect

However over the last couple of weeks I am unable to access the tower to view my files

So I have to restart the tower to get it to work

But this morning I have restarted lots of times and I am unable to access it

I can ping the device thats fine

I can telnet onto the device thats fine

but as soon as I browse to any of the shares it just fails

Also if I goto the web page via ip address it asks for my username and password but once I put that in it just does nothing other then a white screen

I understand you need the syslog file to see whats going on

I type this in cp /var/log/syslog /boot and then get a error

cannot create regular file `/boot/syslog': Read-only file system

Im lost without this tower  :'(

Can anybody please help me and point me in the right direction

Thank You

Regards

Sounds as if you have file system corruption on the flash drive so it it being mounted read-only.  This can cause all sorts of unpredictable errors to occur.

Easiest way to fix that is to plug it into a Windows system and let Windows fix it (Mac has equivalent functionality).
