BSOD while renaming a file or folder

Featured Replies

We have an unraid server at work and one we are setting up for some one for personal use. On certain machines, mine not being one of them, when they go to rename a file or folder they get a BSOD and their computer restarts (not the unraid server). Now I use the unraid server at work and I also have one at home and do not have this problem but a couple of different computers do. From what I saw of the Blue Screen it said something about "IRP Stack". The syslog on Unraid shows nothing about this...meaning I looked at it before and then had them force the BSOD and checked it again  ;D

Any Ideas??

Thanks,

Scott

If you can turn off auto restart on the Windows machines the blue screen you can get the full  message that pops up and do some googling on the problem.  I am not familiar enough with Windows to know what might be going on.  If you can get the full error it would be much easier to figure out what might be happening.

Thanks...did not think of that.

The error is "No_More_IRP_Stack_Locations" 0x00000035

Off to google...if anyone knows anything I can try please let me know.
