Hi,

you could download the txz file directly from the slack repository and put it in your \Flash\packages folder on the memory stick. It'll install the tcpdump package at boot, i use this on a few packages myself (net-snmp for example)

http://pkgs.org/slackware-14.1/slackware-x86_64/tcpdump-4.4.0-x86_64-1.txz/download/

there's also a wiki article about this here;

https://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/Methods_of_user_customization#Packages_added_dynamically_on_each_boot

hope you get it sorted :)

You can create an extra folder (/boot/extra) and put any .txz file in it and unRAID will automatically installpkg when it boots. If you put it in a packages folder, then you will have to add the installpkg command to your go file to install it. That wiki is not wrong, but if you follow the link to the (old) forum post you will see that it was necessary to put installpkg in go.

The way unRAID has worked on boot for some time now is:

1. installpkg any .txz,.tgz files in extra

2. installplg any .plg file in plugins (system plugins such as webGUIs)

3. installplg any .plg file in config/plugins (user plugins, most plugins belong here)

4. execute script config/go
