Flick
Great plugin, thank you! I have two feature requests, no rush. Hope this is the right place to put them: 1. Ability to export - would like to be able to export all results to a CSV and then do some analysis. 2. Ability to put in Speedtest username/password - would let me use their service to keep historical records #1 would be much more valuable than #2 but figured both were worth mentioning. Thanks again! Peter The results are saved in xml format on your flash drive. You can use /config/plugins/speedtest/speedtest.xml for analysis. I didn't write the underlying speedtest python scripts. I'm not sure if that would be possible and considering that these command line scripts aren't as accurate, I'm not sure you'd want that. You might ask in the github repo linked in the OP. This is perfect, I'll run with this. The rest, understood and not worth the hassle. Thanks! Peter Quote Link to comment

I use 3.4 at 3am once a day. What version unRAID are you on? There are some network issues with some of the 6.2 rc's. I believe it's fix since the last couple unRAID rc releases. I was getting some failed tests but not anymore. Quote Link to comment
ljm42
Interesting. I just checked my history and I have no results for the last few days. I ran a manual check and saw this error: Internet bandwidth test started Retrieving speedtest.net configuration... Retrieving speedtest.net server list... Testing from XFINITY... Invalid server ID Any chance you can detect when an "Invalid server ID" has been specified and switch it back to automatic mode? Quote Link to comment

What's the SERVER in speedtest.cfg in the plugin config folder on the flash drive? I actually don't think it is a bug, I think the server that I was using just isn't available any more. Unfortunately, I overwrote the "bad" value by choosing a new one from the dropdown, so I can't really tell you what it was before. This is my current value, which works fine: SERVER="9383" Quote Link to comment

Inenting
Hmm, I tested the web version again after some time but the web version doesn't seem to work that well anymore for some reason, here is an example: Plugin: Speedtest.net: Speedtest-linux: Ping (Lowest): 3.72 ms | Download (Max): 460.86 Mbps | Upload (Max): 512.64 Mbps Speedtest-beta: Retrieving speedtest.net server list... Selecting best server based on ping... Hosted by Tilaa B.V. (Amsterdam) [1.75 km]: 5010.821 ms Testing download speed... Download: 0.00 Mbit/s Testing upload speed... Upload: 0.00 Mbit/s It also takes very long for the plugin speedtest to finish (10-30 minutes) Quote Link to comment

Your ping is 5 sec It also could indicate a problem with your server or network. Where was the speedtest.net results from? Another computer, virtual machine on your unRAID server? clowrym
I have a dual Wan connection with a Router set to load balance, I also have my speedtest plugin set to run a speedtest every hour. When looking at the history there is no indication which wan the speedtest is completed on. Is this something that can be added? Quote Link to comment
