Possible great case for unRAID?

Featured Replies

Lian Li has a new case out (PC-A70F) that will hold 17 drives using 1 - 3 in 2 & 1 -4 in 3.

Cost is $199.99 plus shipping. The EX-23NB is around $22 plus shipping & the EX-34NB is around 35 plus shipping. The total should under $300 shipped which is pretty reasonable to max out your unRAID server. Thoughts?

For $300 you can get a Norco 4020, which gives you hot-swap and rackability.

You can do 14 drives for $110 with this and this.

Not everyone wants a rack mount system. Plus cooling will be much better with the Lian Li IMHO.

Stunning case! Also at a Lian-Li price :-[

Remember you get just a case, you have to buy the powersupply, witch adds at least another $120

I think Lian-Li rocks only the prices are way to high for my liking.

I have a Sharkoon Rebel12 (http://www.sharkoon.com/html/produkte/pc_gehaeuse/rebel12_eco/index_en.html) as a case, not Lian-Li quality, but it retails for about $100, add some Coolermaster 4-in-3 cages and you have space for 18HD's + 2 DVD drives.

Cool case but I could not find where it is avaliable in the US. Plus the Coolermaster 4-in-3 are $23.26 plus shipping each, so $70 plus shipping and another $30 to $40 in fans plus a power supply the cost difference is rather small between the Lian Li & the Sharkoon cases.
