SysLog - rounding interval to 64 microframes, ep desc says 80 microframes

Recommended Posts

I get these messages a LOT in my system log, which looks to be for two specific usb devices, 1-3 and 1-4.

These are both Gyration remotes that I use for HTPC usage. I believe I have seen the same messages for other USB devices that I have had attached.

I attempted to make some changes for USB settings in the BIOS (newest version) hoping that it would help, however nothing seemed to matter.

I don't have many options to change, and if I remove the legacy USB support it would either not boot unRAID, or did something very odd and had write errors to my boot flash drive.

They don't seem to cause any issues, but my log is littered with them.

I have not tried the new nec-xhci method in the XML, maybe it will help with this.

Log attached (it is cutoff as the logfile ran out of space, and I increased it's allowed size).

The options I have in my BIOS are as follows (with descriptions), I am not certain what they are set to at the moment, I believe they are all default values:

Intel USB 3.0 Mode -
Select Intel® USB 3.0 controller mode. Set [smart Auto] to keep the USB 3.0 driver
enabled ater rebooting (USB 3.0 is enabled in BIOS). Set [Auto] to automatically
enable the USB 3.0 driver ater entering the OS (USB 3.0 is disabled in BIOS). Set
[Enabled] to keep the USB 3.0 driver enabled (Must install driver to use USB devices
under Windows® 7). Set [Disabled] to disable the USB 3.0 ports.

Legacy USB Support -
Enable or disable Legacy OS Support for USB 2.0 devices. If you encounter USB
compatibility issues it is recommended to disable legacy USB support. Select UEFI
Setup Only to support USB devices under the UEFI setup and Windows/Linux
operating systems only.

Legacy USB 3.0 Support -
Enable or disable Legacy OS Support for USB 3.0 devices. If you encounter USB
compatibility issues it is recommended to disable legacy USB support. Select UEFI
Setup Only to support USB devices under the UEFI setup and Windows/Linux
operating systems only.

USB Compatibility Patch -
If your USB devices (i.e. USB mouse or storage) encounter compatibility problems,
please enable this option to ix it. Please note that ater enabling this option, it is
normal that the system will postpone booting up ater pressing the power button.

Third Party USB 3.0 Controller
Enable or disable all of the USB 3.0 ports controlled by hird Party chips.
