Addon or Plugin for system stats and info?

Featured Replies

Is there a WEBGUI addon or plugin that shows detailed stats for CPU memory and system temps, fan speeds etc which works on Supermicro X8 mainboards?

Don't know about that board, but have you tried the Dynamix plugins?

IPMI plugin? see here: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=39787.0

Pretty neat.

Only CPU temps don't show true value only 01h and 02h. Memory temps, fan speeds and voltages show values.

This is on X8DTH-6F with 2 L5640 CPUs.

according CPU, that's a Supermicro desired behavior. see here: http://www.supermicro.com/support/faqs/faq.cfm?faq=10319

according to collect monitored values, i have a great success with Zabbix. i'm using it with esxi, and it's working with esxi at API level so no need to install any agents on every VM.

I understand regarding CPU. The X8DTH with 2 L5640 is pretty awesome though. DIMM temps show between 35 and 38 C and system temp also 38. Soon I will do some performance testing. I got 2 nice  Supermicro coolers of ebay for 30 Euros a pair. They run pretty silent too.

board temps for me are very similar at idle, but it depends strongly from room ambient temp. at summer it was about 50C at idle for me. but i have very poor ventilated small room, and hope to migrate server to new location later this year.
