October 25, 201510 yr I moved my server to a new home and in the process somehow lost the thumb drive. I took a screen snapshot of the disk #'s and serial #'s Can I restore the array if I buy a new thumbdrive, put the same OS version and put the disks in the same order? Still searching frantically for the thumb drive, but just in case I'd like to know what I can do bring it back up without corrupting 12TB of infgo. Thanks.
October 25, 201510 yr Yes, you can reassign the drives on a new USB drive and they will be recognised. However do you have a copy of your license key file? License files are tied to a particular USB stick so the one you currently have will be tied to the old USB drive. Since you appear to be running unRAID v5 I think you will have to contact Limetech support explaining the situation. If you were on unRAID v6 then putting the old license file on a new USB drive would have caused you to be taken through an automated process for transferring the license to the new USB drive.
October 25, 201510 yr Author I do have my license key saved. In fact I think I just found a copy of the thumbdrive image I may be able to copy to a new thumb drive and save the day. Fingers crossed.

It might be prudent to rename the super.dat file (or copy it then delete it) from the config folder on the flash drive. If you've changed any drive assignments (especially if you've made a data drive into the parity drive) since the backup was taken, you could clobber your data.
October 26, 201510 yr Author Good point. If I buy a new thumbdrive, it will naturally have a different GUID. WIll this affect the license key?

October 26, 201510 yr Author Super happy to report I purchased a new thumb drive, installed the same version 5 of Unraid as previously installed, booted and grabbed the GUID. Lime went above and beyond and, based on my previous payment, and gave me a new key in just a few hours. Deleted the super.dat and booted up. Put the disks in the correct order and started the array. Voila! Data restored. Parity check in progress. Many thanks to all.
