BitTorrent Sync (LimeTech) not behaving expected on a LAN

Featured Replies

So I've a pair of unRAID 6 boxes in my BitTorrent Sync setup, sitting on the same LAN.

From experience, Sync 2.0 supports LAN Announce, allowing peers to sync directly, but this isn't happening with the unRAID implementations.

Instead I see traffic between the peers hitting my WAN each time. Suffice to say it's pretty damn slow!

The Docker image uses a bridged network by default, I was considering switching over to host, but thought it might be worth checking here first. Any thoughts?

(I appreciate that there's a thread for LimeTech docker stuff specifically, at the moment I'm more asking about the principle of Bridge vs Host and if anyone has any knowledge of this kind of effect, if not I'll take my query over there instead)
