Compact Rack Enclosure/Chassis Suggestions

Featured Replies

I know the Norco 4224 is very popular and is the staple 4U enclosure, but I'm wondering if anyone knows of any compact rack enclosures  (i.e., less than the 25.5" depth of Norco) with a similar high density of drives. The Limetech AVS-10/4 is pretty compact (only 19" depth), but has a low drive density as it can only store ten 3.5 drives and four 2.5 drives. The highest density compact chassis I have found is the X-Case RM 424s (http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=25083.0, http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=31887.0), but I don't think the chassis is being sold anymore.

Standard Depth Enclosures

X-Case RM 424 Pro Rev 2 - 4U, 24 drives, W: 17.0” x D: 26.0” x H: 7.0”

30 Drive Storinator 4.0 - 4U, 30 drives, W: 19” x D: 25.75" x H: 7.0"

Compact Enclosures

Limetech AVS-10/4 - 3U, 10/4 drives, W: 17? x D: 19? x H: 5.225?

In fact add a 3-in-2 converter and you're up to 9 drives without modifications

Sweet, thanks for the suggestions. Little less capacity than I was hoping for considering the Limetech 10/4 is 3U and can store 14 drives but these are great options to consider!
