November 7, 201510 yr I've had to add/remove drives a few times and it is always a pain. I want to upgrade my case to something that would make drive management easier. My current contenders: Corsair Carbide Series 500R Fractal Design Define R5 HAF 922 Anyone have any experience with these cases? I'm open to other suggestions, would like to stay under $120 if possible. I currently have 4 drives in my current rig. At some piont, I'll probably expand to 5 or 6. Thanks in advance!!
November 7, 201510 yr I use the define r5 with 8 3.5" and 2 2.5" drives. It is a great case, I picked it because it is not flashy, has a door, it's quiet, and fits in well next to my TV. I would not have picked the other to you have listed because they would have stood out too much and wouldn't have been as quiet. I guess you could put up to 11 3.5" drives and 2 2.5" drives if you use a 3 in 2 drive cage in the 2 5.25" days. I use the 2 2.5" slots for a 1TB hdd cache and a 256GB ssd for my VMs.

You might want a case with as many as possible drive bays with a hot swap backplane. The Lian Li PC-Q25 has 5 of those and can hold 8 disks in total. It is mini-ITX though. Don't know what motherboard you have. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=29670.0
November 9, 201510 yr Newegg has the Fractal Design R4 as a "ShellShocker" deal today @ 1300 PT. I have 2 that have served me well - very quiet and sturdy. http://slickdeals.net/f/8226088-fractal-design-define-r4-black-pearl-atx-computer-case-70-w-fs-newegg?v=1&src=SiteSearch
