Can not access GUI

Featured Replies

I can access the GUI and or TOWER after uploading to NAS after a few hours of running 6.1.3.

And when I can access the GUI and try to shutdown it just hangs.

I click on the box and it does not mark it as Yes I want to do this. Making it impossible to do a graceful shut down. I just dealt with a GUI freeze up so had to do an parity check.

Used three different browsers = no go.

Went through this process to recover = No go

Can’t even reboot.

This is the third parity check and it never finishes because of this issue.

If your box is "dying" within a few hours of running, I would say start looking at your hardware. Sounds like something is wrong. Either overheating, bad motherboard, bad controller, something. There really is no reason why a new 6.1.3 system should otherwise freeze. You didn't upgrade to this from some other previous version with plugins installed did you? That could do it as well.

Finally, next time your system is up and running, install the powerdown plugin. This allows you to run the powerdown command from the console and it will gracefully shut everything down for you so you don't need to do a parity check at reboot. You can also press the power button which should also initiate this.

If your system is freezing to the point where that doesn't even work, that I would say you do have some hardware issues.

Thank you for the tips. No plugins. No hardware issues. 6.1.2 does not function this way so I downgraded and will finish the parity check. I will check out the powerdown plugin for sure. Thanks again for all your help.

I was hoping you might take the hint to attach your diagnostics.

I got the hint : If networking is working, browse to the unRAID webGui, go to the Tools tab, click on the Diagnostics icon, then click on the Download button (Collect button if v6.0).

This would be possible if I could access the GUI. That was not possible. Sorry.
