September 18, 200916 yr I use Media Browser, which has one issue: if I have a boxed set that I want to display such as "Matrix Trilogy" with all three Matrix movies listed when I click on it, it will only display correctly if all three Matrix movies are on the same physical disk, and in the same "Matrix Trilogy" folder. If one or more movies is on another disk, Media Browser shows a "Matrix Trilogy" for each one. So, if I had all three movies on different disks, I would see "Matrix Trilogy" listed three times, each with a single movie under it when clicked on. So, I've decided to try using User Shares to solve this issue. I think I understand how to set up User Shares, but I want to be able to decide exactly where a file is transferred to on the server. Is there a way to not use any Allocation Method?
September 19, 200916 yr I want to be able to decide exactly where a file is transferred to on the server. Is there a way to not use any Allocation Method? Use the user shares for a read only combined view of folders. Write using the disk# shares.
