November 9, 201510 yr Enabling IPMI using static addressing methods. Some troubleshooting led to: (1) Made sure no one else has the IPMI ip. (2) Hosts themselves can communicate with each other and outside world through the regular eth0 interface. But since IPMI is a virtual interface, it just needs the eth0 to be connected to be able to talk. Unfortunately, I'm not able to ping or http into the IPMI ip. Some of them are working and some not. How shall I go on about bringing them up? Thanks a lot.
November 15, 201510 yr You've posted in the old v5 support board. Is that the version you are running? Most users have upgraded to v6, and that's where most of the support people (fellow users who like to help) have gone too. Your request is much more likely to get knowledgeable responses on the v6 support boards, but it would be best if you upgrade.
