November 11, 201510 yr I just upgraded to unraid 6 from 5, and am wondering what the best way to host my Plex server? Should I be doing a docker, or a plugin, and which one?

November 11, 201510 yr If you look through my posting history, you'll notice that I'm very biased toward the docker route, but there is a learning curve with regards to volume mappings (check out the docker FAQ). I personally run gfjardim's Plex container, but I don't see any reason why you wouldn't run linuxserver's or binhex's or even LT's. If you choose to do the plugin route, you pretty much have no choice but to use PhAzE's.

We've go to stop meeting like this Install Community Applications http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=40262.0and forget about dealing with repositories, etc (although LT's repository is included automatically in v6) Docker Tutorial's? Check out the stickies. Hardest part to wrap your head around is volume mounting, but if you follow what JustinChase suggests, it'll be painless until you understand what's happening under the hood.
November 11, 201510 yr Author Perfect thank you! BTW, 2 reboots in under unraid 6 and I'm booting, so far so good, just need to get Plex back up and running and the family will love me again!
