UK Basic unRaid shopping list - low requirements

Featured Replies

Hi - I currently have 2 N40L micro servers and i would like to consolidate to one machine. My requirements are quite basic

around 8 bays (prefer all connectors on MB so no add on card issues if practical??)

To be used for storing movies, photos etc and as a backup destination for my PC

Some limited downloading using docker sab, sick

Stream to only 1 TV, maybe with plex docker

The N40L meets my power needs so as you can tell i am not pushing the envelope here, just want something simple and solid without being the size of a wardrobe. I have seen the Silverstone DS380 but that seems to have some space issues in terms of building, temps etc. Is there something pre built someone knows of that would meet this requirement? is there a basic 4 bay that can be easily increased to 8 or a bit more like the bigger HP 4 bay machines?

Looking for suggestions of needed components as i would not be certain of what to buy. I can assemble or add on so that is not the issue - but "what" to assemble is.

So any suggestions or help with what would make a solid, basic server without bells anhd whistles? and remembering i am in the UK

Thanks in advance
