User Share simultaneously on cache drive and in array

Featured Replies

Is it possible to configure some of User Shares to be fully available on cache drive and simultaneously in protected array?

Example:

User Share "Test". All of its data is fully written on cache drive and in protected array. To end user is only accessible copy on cache drive. When user make changes to data, changes are written only on cache drive. Once a day changes are automatically written to array. - Most of this functionality is possible with User Share setting "Use cache disk: Yes".

But I want one other thing. When user is accessing data from share (reading it) it has to be accessed (read) from cache drive only (this has apply to all of data - "old" and newly created (same day - i.e. one hour before last change)) and array can not be spun on. Once a day changes are automatically written to array, all other changes through the day are written on cache drive only.

I hope I am clear what I want to achieve. If there are any questions, please, ask.

If described is not possible, how can I achieve minimal spin ups of HDDs in array - for User Shares with documents and other "small" files? For movies and other "large" files spin up of HDDs are inevitable.
