Same, I see mDNS and password not set errors. Looking into these things now. Will report back if I find something.

Set it up again last night, installed iTunes on my laptop and there was all the music.

I'm thinking the webpage just doesn't work, you have to admin the thing from iTunes.

There is some set up of folders in the docker settings, but the Web page is working just fine for me both for looking at the library and for streaming to some clients...  http://[IP_address_of_server]:3689

For what it's worth, I have never used this with iTunes - I probably wouldn't know where to start.

This app keeps stopping, like the container stays up, but the app itself crashes

I don't see this.  How long does it run for before stopping?  If it stops when scanning your library, for example, then that is most likely an issue with one or more of your media files, perhaps invalid meta-data.  I have the docker running for weeks at a time without issue, and the only restarts are for version updates.

It appears to run for about a day it seems.

Will this only work for music into iTunes?

I'm trying to get photos from my unRaid server into itunes.  I've pointed the docker to my photos share but when I launch the docker's web interface it just says "connection lost.  reconnection".

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi @rcrh, it is in fact only a music server.   If you search for 'photos' in community applications you'll find plenty of photo servers.  Good luck!

Thanks for that info.  I agree that there are lots of photo apps but nothing that makes it's photos available to an Apple TV.

Did Monterey (MacOS 12) break this app/docker? After updating my MBair I can no longer access my daapd server.

EDIT: I'm certain it's a MacOS thing, not a DAAPD thing, but if there's a way to re-enable the library in Monterey I'm all ears...

Tried to delete container, delete appdata/daapd folder, no luck.

Always comes to this.

Strangely it will work once a few days

Recently all my smart playlist have stopped showing up in the GUI. I have tried to delete the docker along with its appdata-folder and then reinstall the docker, but with no success. I can see in the log for daapd/OwnTone that there is a parsing error for every singel one of my playlist. I have consulted the manual (https://owntone.github.io/owntone-server/smart-playlists/) and stripped one playlist for every line except one just to understand what the problem might be. But still this entry shows up in the log:

[2022-06-17 16:32:45] [ LOG] scan: Could not parse '"Ambient2" {
media_kind is music
}': syntax error, unexpected invalid token
[2022-06-17 16:32:45] [ LOG] scan: Error parsing smart playlist '/music/Ambient2.smartpl'

The playlist file looks like this:

"Ambient2" {
    media_kind is music
}

As I said, I have not modified my smart playlist in a long time and they worked just fine a couple of weeks ago. I can't understand why daapd/OwnTone all of a sudden thinks this playlist contains an invalid token. I would really appreciate some help guys, thanks.
