November 26, 201510 yr I just upgraded to 6.1.4 from 5.0.6 and for some reason my user shares are missing. I copied the config/shares folder, along with the other important files, from my backup to my USB stick as instructed here: http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/Upgrading_to_UnRAID_v6#Performing_the_upgrade The server boots successfully and I can access the shares through my network but the user shares don't show up in the webGUI. I checked the Global Share Settings and User Shares are enabled. Maybe I'm missing something but since I can't see my user shares I can't modify their settings. I could revert to 5.0.6 but I'd rather be using the latest and greatest.
December 1, 201510 yr Hello Team, I have this exact same problem. However, it happened when I updated from 6.1.3 to 6.1.4. My server was upgraded a long time ago from 5 to 6. Thanks!

Post the diagnostics zip file (obtained via Tools->Diagnostics) and we might be able to spot what is going wrong.

December 1, 201510 yr Community Expert Here's mine. Thanks for looking into this! My first suggestions would be to try booting in Safe mode (so no user plugins are installed) to see if the problem persists. I can see from the Syslog that you are using a Flexget and a Transmission plugins that are not reporting their version numbers so it is not clear if they are versions that compatible with unRAID 6.1.x series. Is there any reason you are using plugins rather than docker containers? Loading incompatible plugins can have all sorts of unexpected side-effects.
December 1, 201510 yr The FlexGet and Transmission plugins are from PhAzE here: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=33341.0 Granted, he is working on a problem with the FlexGet plugin right now. I haven't taken the Docker plunge yet. It's on my list. But the plugin versions of everything I've been using so far have been working great until recently. I will boot into Safe Mode and see what I get.

They should be compatible. I am surprised that PhAzE does not write the version number to the syslog so one can check what version is running which always helps with support issues. I haven't taken the Docker plunge yet. It's on my list. But the plugin versions of everything I've been using so far have been working great until recently. One advantage of the docker approach is that it should (in theory at least) isolate you from changes to the base unRAID system. As unRAID updates are a lot more frequent than they used to be this is not an insignificant factor. However I can understand sticking with an approach that seems to work OK. I will boot into Safe Mode and see what I get. This is always a good step to try as it does tend to help with isolating the problem to being in the core system or due to an add-on.
December 2, 201510 yr Booting in Safe Mode didn't fix the issue. I took another diagnostic while I was there, in case that helps. I've been trying to make time to convert to Docker. I use Docker at work a little, myself. And my team is in the process of converting our entire deployment model to Docker containers for easy portability between cloud providers. But at first glance, the unRAID Docker implementation is significantly different from what I am used to seeing on the CLI. Mostly, I just haven't looked at it long enough to be comfortable. server.home-diagnostics-20151202-1209.zip
December 2, 201510 yr Can you uncheck the included disks 1 to 5 under Settings -> Global Share Settings, basically this will tell unRAID to include ALL disks and see if that makes a difference.
December 2, 201510 yr Community Expert Are they really missing, or just not showing up in the webUI? If you can still see them over the network then it might be an adblocker in your browser interfering with the webUI.

December 2, 201510 yr Solved! I was going to post a screen cap of my Global Share Settings, but that is not necessary now. After seeing trurl's comment, I added my server name to my Adblock Plus local white list. Refreshed the page, and lo and behold, there are all my shares! So this started when I updated to 6.1.4, but honestly, it may have been updated from older than 6.1.3 - maybe as far back as a late 6.0.x. Something about how that info is populated in the WebGUI is being blocked by ABP. Now I'm wondering if this was causing other issues. Will review my other posts and see... Thank you!

Starting from version 6.1.4 the disk and user share list is dynamically populated. To the user there is no difference but under the hood it is a very different approach. Seems adblockers are intercepting the dynamic concept, though nothing suspicious is done.
December 3, 201510 yr Interesting point, because I never had troubles viewing my disk shares, just the user shares. I wonder what the difference is to ABP.

December 20, 201510 yr Hi! Just registered to let you know my experience as a complete new unraid user. I wasted two days, until I tried another web browser to finally find my shares that work! Reflashed the usb 2-3 times as I thought I changed something I shouldn't! Until you fix it (or not as it's not your fault) just put a big note in the download page as I was either going to give up trying or coming here to try and troubleshoot! I tried unraid for the first time and I think I have good pc knowledge (before unraid I tried Proxmox with OMV and CTs as an alternative to Docker) but my mind didn't go to the ad blocker! After that bad experience, I believe I will stick to unraid as I really like the simplicity it provides.
