November 27, 201510 yr I would replace any disk with pending sectors, after you can run a few preclear passes and see if the pending sectors go to and remain at 0, though I would only re-use a disk like that for backups.
November 27, 201510 yr Author 36000 hours run time. That's over 4 years. Yeah, time to replace that drive. LOL...what should I say? For years this system was running 24/7.
November 27, 201510 yr I agree you should replace disks with pending sectors ... but not just because they have 36000 hours on them. I have several disks with over 55000 hours that are still running just fine, with no pending or reallocated sectors.
