gnollo Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 I don't believe I changed any settings, and I could access the drives before, but not now. Using latest version 6.1.4. Rebooted, no change.
itimpi Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 Do you have disk shares enabled under Settings->Global Share Settings?
gnollo Posted November 28, 2015 Author Posted November 28, 2015 It was set to auto. Stopped the array, changed it to YES and voila, I can see them now. CHeers!
trurl Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 It was set to auto. Stopped the array, changed it to YES and voila, I can see them now. CHeers! The default auto setting doesn't share any disks that are part of a user share. This is to protect you from the User Share Copy Bug. Please read the thread so you know how to avoid this.
gnollo Posted November 29, 2015 Author Posted November 29, 2015 If I understand correctly, this is a problem when you copy from a disk to the share. I don't write anything to the shares. I write files only to the individual disks. That is why I need the disks to be visible. So I should be OK right?
garycase Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Yes, as long as you're always writing to the disk shares you're fine.
