November 28, 201510 yr I try to create a Windows 7 VM. I use a official install ISO and latest virtio ISO. The Windows 7 installer starts but after selecting to install it finds no disks. I selected to create a 50 GB virtual disk and the image is indeed created in my VM share. Do I need special drivers for 64bit Windows, or am I doing something else wrong? Figured that out. I don't plan on doing anything fancy like gpu passthrough, just want a windows vm accessible over lan using vnc. How do I get best performance and fastest access to my unraid shares?
