Hi all,

 

Now that I have my Server(s) back and operating correctly, I would like to add a Cache Drive/Pool to the Main Server.  Several ? occur which I've not found answers to:

 

[*] Should a Cache be "Pre-Cleared" even if it's an SSD?

[*] It appears that a pooled Cache is recommended, should both products drives or SSDs be the same or different?

[*] If I want to "house" my list of Movies etc. and run a Plex or equivalent Server, how large should the Cache drive/SSD be?  I might also "experiment" with VM's.

[*] What is the best practice for establishing a Cache Drive to meet the above criteria?
