September 26, 200916 yr So therefore, it slows itself WAY down... User share is named Movies, and I want it to be able to write onto any drive, so I think it is set up that way.. However, it keeps trying to write to drive 2, and drive 2 says it has 0 free, but it is still trying to write to that drive.. why wont it switch to another drive? Isnt that the point of a multi disk user share?

Isnt that the point of a multi disk user share? How do you have your "Split level" set to? And, what version of unRAID are you running. Depending on the version, a split level of 0 has different meaning (it evolved over time) On current versions, it indicates YOU will create the top level folder on a given disk... On earlier, it was equivalent to split 9999 so split at any level. In between, it meant something else. Also, depending on how you set the allocation method, it might be trying to keep everything in a single folder. You need to give more detail in order to get advice. Joe L.
