VM execution error after addition of pci express sata controller

Featured Replies

I just added a new pci express sata controller.  I am no longer able to boot my unraid VM image.  My understanding here is limited.  I tried generating a new <qemu:commandline> section by creating a dummy vm and copping that section over.  I need help or any insight.  I have ruled out the recent upgrade to Unraid 6.1.4 as the cause of of this issue, removing the sata card allows it to boot.

I think the issue might be this:

vfio: error, group 1 is not viable, please ensure all devices within the iommu_group are bound to their vfio bus driver.

Both the GPU and the sata card are on the same IO MMU group.  Inorder to solve this issue for usb I added a new usb controller for boot.  As all existing usb controllers were in the same group.

Motherboard config is x16(red, GPU), x16(red), x4(red, SATA controller), x1(black, usb controller), x1(red)
