Access is denied

Featured Replies

Hi,

When I try to map my server as a network drive, Windows keeps saying "Access is denied" when both the username and password is correct. I'm running Windows 10 and Unraid 6.1.4

See here.

Then go to Windows Control Panel - Credential Manager and delete any unRAID credentials to they can be renegotiated.

make sure you reboot your windows pc after deleting the credentials

IF @trurl' s advice does not fix the situation, get a screen capture of the error message.  Tell us what version and variety of Windows (for WIN10, type  winver  in the search window) you are running.  Then provide more details about your Unraid server's configuration for the shares -- Public, Secure or Private or a mix.

Remember that there can be only one login from any client to a server. Once logged on, you can't logoff...

Be sure to read more then just Limetech's post in that thread that @trurl pointed you to.  There are several other gotchas in other posts...
