Log always has "waiting for data..." but never gets any data

I just upgraded to the latest official version of version 6 (which is quite nice, by the way).  When I select "Log", I get a popup that remains blank and says "waiting for data....".  That's all the happens.  It never populates.  Is that normal?  If not, how do I troubleshoot this?  Thank you.  (PS, searching for "log waiting for data" on both this website and a search engine did not turn up any useful information.)

    Chrome (Android)
    1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
    2. Tap Permissions → Notifications.
    3. Adjust your preference.
    Chrome (Desktop)
    1. Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
    2. Select Site settings.
    3. Find Notifications and adjust your preference.
