So I have had a Windows 10 image running an pretty stable for a couple weeks and I just got a Logitech c920 web cam and the pass through will not work with isolcpus enabled to fix an audio problem. When I disable isolcpus the cam will work but I randomly lose my mouse function. this is on unraid 6.1.4. The mouse only stops working when the cam is on.

 

I get an error in the log

I have tried using the usb 3 port and enabling <controller type='usb' index='0' model='nec-xhci'> and nothing shows in the logs and windows can see the cam but the mouse stops working again after a few minutes. below is the XML with the usb3 enabled.

I have upgraded to 6.1.5 but the same problem.

I had similar issues and eventually resorted to passing an entire USB3 add on card through to the VM to fix the headache!

I was thinking about getting one and trying that. Now I will go get one.

I got a pcie USB 3 card and passed it through and all seems to working now.

Anyone have any ideas? I don't really have a USB card lying around and I'd rather not buy one if I can avoid it.
