Abit A-S78H - Parity check started

Featured Replies

The next board on the list is an Abit A-S78H - AMD 780G/SB700 combination. Marvel 88E8056 PCI-E. ATI AD3200 VGA. 4GB RAM. 6 HDDs (4 x 1TB Samsung HD103UJ, 2 x 500GB Seagate ST3500630AS).

Running AHCI mode first.

Gb speed is OK at around 25MB/s writing to disk shares. No better than the PCI system this PCI-e system is replacing.

Syslog is OK, Seagate drives downgraded to SATA I.

LM Sensors data is reporting actual values OK,  but min/max status is backwards (same for XFX board) and therefore falsely indicating an alarm.

Parity check seems to be running in the 70-90Mb/s range. Will report back once completed in two-three hours.

Maybe I'm having a brain fart, where so you find transfer speeds?

Thanks

Two places, during the check it is shown on the main page, after the parity check is complete it can be seen in the syslog entry.
