I checked the SMART logs (below), can't understand it well honestly. Am i good to go to use the drive as my parity or there is something with it? The key thing we tend to look for in the SMART attributes is the values of the reallocated sectors and pending sectors. Ideally these should both be 0 although non-zero for reallocated sectors is OK as long as the value remains static. Also, no attribute should be marked as "FAILING NOW" - if you get that assume the disk is on its last legs. The RPT report should ideally show all 0 values, although it is only critical that these are 0 at the end when the preclear completes. Quote Link to comment
