Using 1 drive + USB, drive Unmountable, cannot format in software (does nothing)

Featured Replies

Hello there.

I am having an issue where my drive is labelled as Unmountable, and I cannot work out how to get it to work. I have tried to format it in unraid and in the cmd, but nothing works.

Can anyone help?

Unless it is a new drive that has never been used before in unRAID a disk being labelled as unmountable normally means it has file system corruption, or perhaps it has dropped offline (which might need a reboot to get it back online).  You do NOT want to format it unless you want to lose all its contents.

If you post the diagnostics file (obtained via Tools->Diagnostics) we can probably give you a better idea of what to do.  A screen shot of the Main tab might also be a good idea.
