December 15, 201510 yr I cannot seem to find any place that states how to change the drives assigned to a share or if it's possible. I have a share with disk 3,4,5 assigned to it. I would like to change the disks assigned to be only disk 6. If I make this change to the share will the data automatically migrate to the proper disks? Will the share data be deleted from the previously assigned disks? If so, before or after migration? Or does this process have to be manual? Create a new share assign desired disks, manually migrate data, remove old share. Please let me know. Thank you in advance!!
December 15, 201510 yr Community Expert The settings for assigned disks on a share only applies to placement of new files. Existing files on other disks will still be found for read purposes if they are in the folder corresponding to the share. UnRAID will not move any files when you change the disk assignments, movement of files off existing disks is a manual process.
