[eyesore] 1TB drive displayed as 1000GB in the webgui

Featured Replies

unRAID OS Version:

6.1.6

Description:

Drives larger than 1TB are displayed as 2TB, but a 1TB drive is listed as 1000GB and it doesn't match up with the rest

How to reproduce:

Add a 1TB drive to array, fire up the webgui :-)

Expected results:

Expect to see "1TB"

Actual results:

1000GB

Other information:

Can you give the exact size of this disk in bytes (set number scaling to disabled)?

It was supposed to be addressed, but apparently doesn't work as expected.

Tha issue only applies to xfs - not to reiserfs. I reported that before and answer was, that xfs formatted disks are smaller due to more overhead. However, I'd prefer to show them as "1TB" instead of "1000GB" too - to make it clear, I am talking about the same physical drives - only the filesystem matters.

Simple fix ... replace it with a larger drive  :) :)

... or just wait for the fix Bonienl made in the next release.

If it ain't broken. . . [emoji1]

I add about a new drive every 9 months or so. Once all the hdd slots are full, I'll start replacing the existing drives with larger ones and that one will be the first to be replaced

I think I've had that drive for about 10 years, came out of an external enclosure and is still going strong
