December 20, 201510 yr Hi, I swapped out my disk drive and updated my bios and now I can't seem to get GPU passthrough. I compared my previous config that I'd saved and it's basically identical. Could a BIOS update screw this all up? I'm a linux/unraid newb... when I used OMVF it worked but I can't get out of the command prompt it takes me to but on SeaBIOS I can't seem to get one of the GPUs to passthrough like it had previously.
December 20, 201510 yr Do you mean you have updated bios on motherboard. If so it may have messed up the vt-d Check in bios settings this is still enabled. If it is then sometimes the bios updates can "break" the vt-d On my board, ASRock B75M-GL R2.0, if I go above bios 1.40 my vt-d doesn't work. Newest bios is 1.60 So if you still have problems go back to earlier bios
December 20, 201510 yr Author Hi, Yes I've spent about 14 hours yesterday trying all different combinations of going back versions as far as I could on my BIOS, and unRaid, I still can't figure it out. It's as though the CPU is using the GPU display and won't let it override? I'm truly perplexed. OMVF works but like I said I can't get past that command line? I have a Asus Formula VII motherboard, 970 EVGA cards. This all worked before.
December 20, 201510 yr Please click on the info button on unraid and see if it says IOMMU: Enabled Then click on tools ,system devices and list the PCI Devices and IOMMU Groups and also list your xml file here so we can look at that. You could also try PCIe ACS Override in the settings, vm manager
