may a question, when i readed up correctly there is no way to use wildcards with this plugin, may some hints howto escape \ so it gets triggered, i assume its the \ which lets the filter malfunction

in my usecase from the filter section

"this is an example line"
"\\VUDUO4KSE\Harddisk error -9 on ioctl to get interface list"
"\\VUDUO4KSE\rootfs error -9 on ioctl to get interface list"

while these are the syslog entries

Sep 29 09:26:41 AlsServer kernel: CIFS: VFS: \\VUDUO4KSE\Harddisk error -9 on ioctl to get interface list
Sep 29 09:27:46 AlsServer kernel: CIFS: VFS: \\VUDUO4KSE\rootfs error -9 on ioctl to get interface list
Sep 29 09:37:03 AlsServer kernel: CIFS: VFS: \\VUDUO4KSE\Harddisk error -9 on ioctl to get interface list
Sep 29 09:38:09 AlsServer kernel: CIFS: VFS: \\VUDUO4KSE\rootfs error -9 on ioctl to get interface list

and i would like to not start from "error -9 on ioctl to get interface list" ... in terms i get a different device and it would be exempted from the syslog's

Just try the string "error -9 on ioctl to get interface list".  It's been a while since I worked with this, but I believe that will work.

sure that works, but thats something i normally would like to avoid ... in terms some other device now runs into the same error message but with malfunction ... i wouldnt see it in the syslog anymore, nevermind, so to nail it, no wildcard, no escaping,

i ll then keep it now as is and hope no other device will run into the same issue ;)

thanks again for looking into it

I just attempted to install Grafana using the guide on the blog/forum and I am unable to start the docker for Prometheus which is the first step. Looks like some kind of permission error? What specifically needs done to make this work?

Running 6.11.1
