Lots of issues with unRAID server, could really use some help

Featured Replies

Hi, so as the title says, I am having a lot problems with my unRAID server. My specs are:

Model: Custom

M/B: ASRock - Z97 Extreme6

CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00GHz

HVM: Enabled

IOMMU: Disabled

Cache: 256 kB, 1024 kB, 8192 kB

Memory: 8192 MB (max. installable capacity 32 GB)

Network: eth0: 1000Mb/s - Full Duplex

Kernel: Linux 4.1.13-unRAID x86_64

OpenSSL: 1.0.1p

I got my server up and running a couple weeks ago and have been working on configuring it but have been having problem after problem. From the start, I've had problems with losing settings (such as configured dockers. I retain their AppData files but the docker itself dissapears from my docker tab) and users (except for root) upon reboot. So after every reboot I've just been reinstalling the docker under the docker tab of my server GUI and adding my users back.

Then, a couple nights ago, my shares started to switch to read only after an hour or two of activity. In addition, Plex will be in the middle of playing an episode of a show and it will suddenly cut out saying that it has lost connection to the server. I was able to stop the array and restart it to fix the issue (for a short period of time) but when I just tried, the docker tab disappeared from my server GUI. I've checked my settings tab and docker has remained enabled but even with stopping and restarting the array and rebooting, the tab is not showing up.

This has all been extremely frustrating and I've been trying to research all the issues to try to find solutions but I am coming up empty and don't have near the technical expertise to figure it out. I will include the most recent information from the syslog (from when Plex stopped working and when the docker tab disappeared) and would be extremely grateful for any help or advice.

I'm going to be leaving the house for a few hours and won't be able to access the server for probably 4 or 5 hours but wanted to post this and maybe have some things to work on when I get home (and I will be able to answer questions from my phone while I'm out). Thank you in advance for any help/information you guys can provide.

Are you using a cache disk? If yes, what model?
