Midnight Commander

Featured Replies

Midnight Commander development is a story of stops and start. Currently it is motoring on and we should take advantage of these good times.

Request an update. Currently unRAID is 5 versions behind Slackware which is one version behind mainline.

I'm with you, but I've just installed the Krusader Docker app and find this to be much faster to access. Just putting it out there as alternative.

Nice!  I wasn't aware of the Krusader container.  Every time I needed to delete something that gave me grief about permissions, I had to SSH in and use MC.  Krusdaer works a treat!  :)

mc is easy enough to install, although keeping inline with how we are using unraid and packages, you could ask eschultz to add it to the nerdpack plugin.

otherwise you could just use wget, tar, ./configure, make, make install...

MC is already builtin to unRAID. The point of the thread is to get a newer version builtin.
