unRAID 4.7 Web Management page not accessible by 1 PC but accessible by other PC

Featured Replies

Hi guys - I have a strange issue with unRAID 4.7 that has been working flawlessly for 3 years. I am physically unable to access the web management page that I have always been able to, but strangely, only from my main PC that is connected into the wireless router via wired LAN connection. The unRAID box is connected to the same router via Wired LAN connection.

Trying to access the page via the "nameofunRAIDserver/main.htm" has always worked for me, except now using Google Chrome I get the following message

***

No data received

ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE

Clicking the "Diagnose" button reveals the following (see attachment) - indicating that there is a protocol problem for some reason. I have not made any networking changes to this PC and am unsure what protocol it is looking for specifically. I have tried to have the diagnosis capability fix the problem (as per the screenshot) but it does not solve the problem.

I have tried to access this webscreen from my other PC as well as my iPad/iPhone (for these devices I use the IP address directly - i.e. 192.168.0.1/main.htm) with no problems at all - so just wondering whether you are aware what might have inadvertently happened with my PC's configuration and what I should do to be able to access this useful webscreen again. It seems to have just stopped working, so would appreciate any help you might have.

My configuration for the PC in question is:

Intel i7 LGA 1155

Windows 10 Pro (Build 1511 10586.36)

Using a Netgear C6300 802.11AC wireless router, but connected via LAN

unRAID 4.7 registered

Thanks so much for your help.

Best wishes

Mikey.

Chrome does this in my experience every so often.  Try a different browser to confirm and normally I fix it by clearing my history, cookies & cache...

You say you can access it from other computer, but by using the IP instead of the name. Can you access it from the problem PC using the IP instead of the name?

Hi guys - I've tried Internet Explorer, Edge and Firefox all with the same result. Chrome has always worked (historically anyway) - for over 3 years, there is something amiss with this configuration and I cannot understand why given I have not changed anything. I have tried accessing it via IP address versus machine name and it has the same result.

Keen for any thoughts anyone has as this is a very unusual situation.

Thanks all,

Mikey.

Well, logic dictates it must be a problem with the PC rather than Unraid..

When did you upgrade to Windows 10?

Hi there - I upgraded to Windows 10 at the time it was first announced/implemented - build 10240 - and worked perfectly. Since then, I have upgraded to their next full/stable release - 1511 / Build 10586 and have a suspicion that it is this update that is the culprit - I cannot be 100% certain, but I have only updated to this version in the last 3 weeks or so, and seem to think that it was this update that has introduced this issue. Just wondering what 'protocol' related material the troubleshooter might be alluding to, and what if anything this new W10 version may have inadvertently introduced that causes this issue. I now notice my other W10 PC in my other room that has also been updated to the new build and now exhibits the same problem, yet my iOS devices have no issue.

Any thoughts anyone might have particularly with the same experience are much appreciated!

Cheers

Mikey.
