Currently have one SSD cache drive and I want to create a Cache Pool. How?

Featured Replies

Unsure how to add an additional SSD drive to my cache. I have an existing 500Gb SSD drive already installed and have been using this for over a year and now I'd like to add an additional drive for redundancy and protection. How do I go about doing this? Do I need to move the data that currently resides on it (Docker apps) before creating a Cache Pool? If so, what is the best method of doing this? Can I just create a new share, move the data over and then stop Unraid and remove the current drive as a cache drive and then recreate the pool using the drive SSD drives?

Please help.

If your cache disk is BTRFS you just need to stop array, add 2nd disk and start array, still always good idea to make a backup first just in case.
