Backing up a windows 7 system and enabling as VM

i have a system that i want to convert to unraid.  is it possible to back up the system and then re-install it as a VM under unraid?

 

I am assume there will be drivers that need to be reinstalled but I know in the past I have had issues restoring windows backups to different hardware.  I use acronis now for backup.. is there a better way?
