Hello

First of all, Thank you for being apart of Linus Tech Tips. Never would have known of you otherwise.

All that being said, I am a little overwhelmed and just need a pointer in the right direction.

Goal

Steam Games, Pictures, Videos, Docs in one central location.  Any of my devices can locate and use.

My systems

Intel I-6700K

DDR 4 RAM

Asus Z170 Deluxe

5 SSD drives 256 GB each

GTX 980 TI x 2

Corsair 1500 axi

3 Asus Rog 144 hz monitors

MSI 990X

AMD 9590

DDR 3

3 SSD 256

Corsair 850 AXi

GTX 970

Network:

My house is "Smart Wired".

Netgear Modem

Netgear NightHawk x8 8500

Apple Router (acts as a range extender)

QNAP 431 (attached with port aggregation to router) with 4 Western Digital NAS 3TB drives.

All Workstations are connected via Ethernet.

Downloaded and installed Unraid on a thumb drive.

Configured Bios in Asus Z170 Deluxe for VM.

Plugged in one of my monitors into Intel graphics display port

(Deep Breath)

Question: Should I take the HD drives from QNAP and put into Z170 deluxe gaming rig or could I use the QNAP drive?

What would be the most effective configuration in order to get me what I want?
