Obtaining Plex Server statistics. PlexPy? Plex Watch?

Featured Replies

I have been looking for a way to get plex statistics, such as who has watched what, etc and am using the limetech docker of PMS.

I was looking at both PlexPy and Plex Watch.

What is the difference between the two?  Are they required to be installed together?  I'm pretty confused because it looked like some people were running both.

What does installing plexpy as privileged do?  My PMS docker is checked to be privileged.  Are there other reasons to set this privileged flag?

PlexPy wants a path to my plex logs but I am not sure where they are located.  As I said I am running the limetech docker on my cache drive.  So any help locating those would be great.

I have seen a couple of dockers ask for PUID and PGID.  What exactly are these settings for?  PlexPy defaults to PUID 99 / PGID 100.  I am not sure what the limetech docker runs at except that it is stated that it runs as user 99, which I am assuming is the PUID.  What does having a PGID of 100 do?

Either one will do what you want. I run them both only because I can't decide which I like better. I guess the main feature I see that differentiates them is that PlexPy has notifications (start, pause, stop, watched, buffering, etc) that I can hook into my existing Pushbullet notifications from unRaid. That said, I have not done a comprehensive comparison of the reporting features of either so no preference there lol. Anyway they don't take up a lot of space so I run them both.

You have any insight into the settings questions?  I asked in the support thread about a week ago but no response.
