Cannot copy image to cache disk

I am facing a very weird issue.

I used to have a Win10 image on disk1 (used as cached disk). I then later replaced the cache disk and added a new cache disk. I manually copied the image to the new disk and everything worked well. So far, so good and this worked well.

I now just added back disk1 and want to use it again as cache disk. I tried to copied the image back to the cache disk, but it says there is not enough space. This is really weird as this very same image was on the same disk before. No clue what went wrong in the meantime?

I cheked the space requirements:

Image file: 125,829,129 kbytes

Disk1 partition size: 125,034,808 kbytes

Disk1 user capacity: 128,035,676,160 bytes

Any thoughts?

Is the image qcow2? A dynamically expanding disk?

This is the only thing I can think of  ???
