Anyway to disable a drive quickly?

I have a drive slowly dying on me. Is there a quick way to disable the drive from all user shares so nothing new tries to write to it? I guess I could remove the drive and start the array unprotected until I get a new drive.

    Exclude the drive from your shares.  But, split levels for existing folders will still allow files to be written into your movie folders, but any new movie folders should not get new files written into.
